A Highland oásis!

In the highlands of “Arco da Calheta” is a traditional madeiran cottage. A quiet oásis in this busy world be  live in. A house just off a street that passes a car maybe once a day and views to the hills and oceans to take your breath away.

A 3 bedroom house in the highlands. Two rooms with a double bed and 1 room with 2 single beds. The one double bedroom is on the floor with the lounge and kitchen and the entrance.  The other two rooms are upstairs.There is one complete bathroom.

Entering in to cottage is a kitchen with glass Windows with the view to the valley. There are all kitchen appliances that is necessary to make a meal.  In the kitchen is a typical wood BBQ área which is very common in madeira houses. So one can make a BBQ or just light the fire to make a cozy feeling.

A comfortabel lounge with a pelet salamandre that heats up the rooms upstairs.

This house is a house to be filled with family or just to hide away from everyone.

This cottage is near the route that goes to Rabaçal levadas

The neighborhood

The cottage is in Arco da Calheta highlands on the route going to Rabaçal / Paul da Serra.This route also has quick access to Porto Moniz area or Fail on the Northern side of Madeira.

There is a supermarket about 6 minutes drive down and a restaurant called called Requinte do Rochão about 3 minutes drive.

Getting around

I recommend you rent a car  as no busses pass here just if you do not want to leave the cottage and would prefer to walk.

Guest access

Guest have access to all the areas of the apartment.

Interaction with guests

We are here to help you with any questions or problems that may arise.  You will have all the privacy.

Other observations

Internet is provided free of charge.

All bed linen and towels are provided, We can also provide a crib and a baby high chair. Mid cleaning is provided  weekly free of charge.

Minimuim stay of 5 nights.
