A taste of Madeira in a typical Madeiran House!

A remodeled Portuguese house for you to enjoy the Madeira country living in the village of Loreto, Arco da Calheta.

The beautiful traditional “ casa de campo” house which has a spacious outdoor area so that meals can be enjoyed outside. A beautiful wooden kitchen which is fully equipped so that preparation is facilitated.

Up the traditional wooden stair to the rooms, you will find one double bedroom and a separate single bedroom.

On the upper floor is a terrace and a sunroom to enjoy reading or just viewing the surroundings.

The neighborhood

The houses are just off the regional road 222 which heads to the well known Rabacal area were there are many beautiful walks. About 30 minutes up hill walk you will find the Levada nova.

Near the houses are some local stores for you to buy any groceries you require.

The restaurant Naye is a 2 minutes walking distance whereby they prepare you a delicious meal.

If you are up to the challenge, you can walk down to the Calheta beach which takes you 30 minutes to walk.

Getting around

I recommend you rent a car as Calheta has very few public transports. The car is parked in the parking allocated at the house. If you want to have a relaxed holiday and do not want to travel, this apartment is good as everything is nearby making for a good stay.
